Word to the Wise
- Use encoders on your wheels! Otherwise it's difficult to get the kart to move straight, or to make turns as expected. Without encoders, you'll have no feedback to control relative speed of left and right motors, and sag in battery voltage can add further variables in your effort to have predictable bot behavior.
- Power down all your own circuitry before powering down TIVA! We burned a few TIVAs by connecting an externally powered circuit to a powered down TIVA.
- Add a button to turn off all power early on.
- Solder your circuitry as soon as you have it figured out.
- Use molex connectors everywhere!
